August 11th is now a very special day for Morristown. The town board has officially declared August 11th as “Morristown High School FFA Day.” MHS formed a team last year to compete in the Discovery Degree Quiz Bowl, which teams are tested in the knowledge related to the Future Farmers of America, as well as agriculture as a whole. Last year, MHS placed 4th overall, which is their best placement for this event since 1986. This alone is impressive. However, MHS just shattered their record. Just one year after 4th place, MHS placed 1st overall! This is the first time in history that MHS has placed first, and Morristown is delighted to honor their big win by naming August 11th as “Morristown High School FFA Day.” Congratulations to the MHS team for 1st place, and congrats to Morristown for honoring this special occasion!
